Do you see patterns in life? No, I’m not really talking about the patterns in nature, or even behavior. I have used the word “patterns” for most of my life, because I didn’t know the word, synchronicity.
I’m bringing this topic up, because I wonder if we all have these patterns occurring in our lives. I like the “weird” stuff that makes us stop and think about our lives. It’s fun and a part of the practice- LIVING ( with happiness and being true to ourselves).
Let me explain what I mean by, patterns.
I knew of a man who dated women with the same tattoos located in the same (hidden) area of their bodies. He dated these women at different times in his life, and he didn’t know these women all had this same tattoos until after the relationships became intimate.
Some people see number patterns or names of certain locations, everywhere.
I have even known of an Atheist who noticed his own patterns and I enjoyed watching him try to think of how the pieces of his life fit so perfectly as to create unpredictable patterns. He’d open his mouth to explain it all away, then stop. For him, the patterns existed on days he was on schedule, days he was running late, out of the country, in the country, alone or with other people. No, this isn’t necessarily about what we call “God.” Maybe there is just something greater than what we perceive….
I first started looking for patterns, to understand my grade school math. I didn’t understand the teachers and I saw numbers backwards, in my mind, a lot. So, I started looking for patterns to understand the lessons. This became a habit or a game, as a child. I forgot about all of that, but in my 20’s I started seeing random patterns. Things I had never tried to see or notice. I couldn’t understand how these patterns were happening…. nothing seemed to connect these patterns, no common denominator…
Synchronicities are usually in your face, and it is hard to deny what you are seeing.
Look at your life. Notice anything? Once you do become aware of one pattern, you may more easily become aware of other odd patterns.
This is about evolving our perceptions of the world around us so that we can help evolve our children’s perceptions. This is about helping our children to see that their everyday routines and experiences are not all there is….
On a small scale, there are so many other countries with different views and experiences to appreciate. On a bigger scale, well, who knows what’s out there, or here, or why things are the way they are…or whatever…
If we think from a different perspective, our scales change. I mean, a lot of the big priorities become smaller. A lot of the important stuff becomes bigger- like love…and the stuff we once feared becomes a non issue.
Seeing these synchronicities helped me to notice and questions things.
Food for thought.
